Funding Options
Developing an app or digital product offers several potential
funding avenues, especially considering the cultural, educational,
and technological impact the project might have. ARHistory are not
funding experts however we will be more than happy to help provide
any information that would assist in raising funds for digital
projects. We can also be flexible with how we provide our services
and offer several options for financing.
One thing that is important to bear in mind is that the majority of
our work will require ongoing support and maintenance. This various
based on the project and extends beyond routine maintenance and
updates if required (e.g new exhibits or exhibits removed). The
below are examples of how projects may be funded and can be flexible
to suit the budget and requirements of the project.
The most straightforward lump sum to develop the project and ongoing maintenance fee for the life of the project. This may be the most appropriate way to secure grant funding for the project and is the most straightforward way to finance a project.
2. Partnership
We can offer free services and maintenance in a situation where the visitor is paying directly for the experience on offer. An example of this may be where the visitor pays to download an app or pays to rent an iPad from the reception desk to go on a digital tour and the fee for this is split.
3. Pay per View
Development and maintenance is funded on a pay-per-view basis. An example would be an art gallery where several paintings are available as part of an AR experience where the gallery would be charged an amount per visitor view of the painting.
We will work with you to develop cost-effective solutions and will always seek to balance commercial interests with wider objectives.
